Website Search Overview
This tutorial will provide a general overview of CoffeeCup Website Search. This program builds a database of your site text and creates a Flash™ search box. To use Website Search, your Web server should be running Unix with PHP 4.0 or higher; you can run Windows, but Unix is preferable. The tutorial will show you how to navigate or disable Tips of the Day, explain the Toolbar menu, including the following buttons: Build Search, HTML Settings, AdBrite (an ad affiliate program), and Advanced Settings. It will also briefly explain the options listed under the Settings tab.

Building a Search
This tutorial outlines the process of building a Website search box using CoffeeCup Website Search. First, click the Build Search button and enter the site URL in the provided field. Clicking the Scan button starts the scan. Once the program has finished scanning your site, you can enter keywords in the provided field and rate the importance of your pages. Clicking the Files tab allows you to add files and folders to ignore lists, as well as to modify the Allowed File Extensions list.

Using the Scheduler
This tutorial will show you how to use the scheduler tool in CoffeeCup Website Search. Click the Advanced icon in the Toolbar and select Scheduler from the drop-down menu. This opens a window that allows you to enable automatic scanning, run on startup, or run a manual scan, as well as specifying the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, or on a certain day) of the automatic scan. Clicking the Add Project button opens the AutoScan Wizard, which will prompt you to browse your computer for the Website Search file you want to automatically scan and the server and folder where you want to upload your files. You will then be given the option to upload your files.

Customizing Your Design
This video will show you how to customize a search box created in CoffeeCup Website Search. The Settings tab contains options for adjusting the width, style, color, border, and border color of the background; the background color and font face, color, and style of the search box; and the label, font family, color, size, and style, image, and sound for the search button. The video closes by showing you how to preview your new design.

Search Results Settings
This video will show you how to customize your search results settings. Clicking the HTML Settings button on the Toolbar opens a box that allows you to modify things like font face, size, and style, as well as the background, text, link, and highlight colors. You can also choose to show the date, URL, definition, and relevance, select a Wikipedia language, and adjust how many results are shown per page. Finally, you can enter code in the HTML header and footer. When you're done customizing your search box, you can save and preview it.

Adding Search to HTML Editor
In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to add a search box created in CoffeeCup Website Search to a Website created using CoffeeCup HTML Editor. First, save your search box. This will bring up the Files to Upload dialog box, which lists the files you must upload to your server in order for your search box to work, as well as the HTML code you must paste on every page where you want the search box to appear. Copy the code and open HTML Editor. Paste the code on the page where you'd like the box to appear. If you'd like to move the search box within the Visual Editor tab, right-click the object, and select Move & Unlock Object. You will now be able to use your mouse to drag the box to your desired location. When saving the page, be sure to save it in the same folder as the associated search files.

Adding Search to Visual Site Designer
In this video, you'll learn how to add a search box created in CoffeeCup Website Search to a Webpage created with CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer. First, save your search files in the _website folder created by Visual Site Designer. Next, open Visual Site Designer and select the Add Flash™ tool. Use your mouse to draw the area where you'd like the search box to appear, and, when prompted, search your computer for the associated XML file, which will be saved in the _website folder. The tutorial will then show you how to preview your search within Visual Site Designer.

Adding an HTML Header and Footer
This tutorial will walk you through the process of adding an HTML header and footer to your search page. First, click the HTML Settings button in the Toolbar. This contains the HTML Header and HTML Footer tabs where you can add the desired code. Any information in these fields will overwrite changes you have made under the HTML Settings tab. Once you've entered this information, save your search. The tutorial will then show you how to upload your search and view it online.

Setting Up a Server
This video will show you how to upload a search bar created with CoffeeCup Flash™ Website search using the program's built-in FTP client. It will also walk you through the process of setting up a server, including telling you which information goes in which fields, and where to obtain this information if you have forgotten it. Once you have set up a server profile, click Connect to connect to your server. On the Remove Server window that appears, click the Upload Files Here button to upload your search bar files.
