Using Security Mode

Security mode is used to take pictures when WebCam detects motion. You can set a variety of options, such as setting a sound to play, or emailing you a copy of the image. This mode can be useful in a variety of situations. You can set WebCam to watch over your room while you are away, or you can set the watch area to be very small if you only want to capture motion on a single location in the room.
To set up security mode, click on Settings->Security Cam Settings
Now you can set the Arming delay, as well as setting the options to have the captured images uploaded to your default server. Using the play sound on motion detection option, you can set your computer to play a .wav file once motion is detected. Finally, you can set the sensitivity of the Security Cam.
Under the Email Tab, you can set up an email address to send a message, as well as any captured images. You will need the address for the SMTP server. Some SMTP servers have security measure which will not allow you to send email through WebCam. If you are having trouble with the email option, you should contact your email provider to see if a work-around is available. One method, which may work is to set up an email program to check for incoming email from the server every 10 minutes, validating your computer, and allowing you to send email.
Finally, on the Watch Area, you can set where WebCam will detect motion. Any motion outside of the Webcam will not be detected.
Once you have these finished setting up the security options, click on the
button to begin the arming delay count down. Click the button again to turn security mode off.
