Bookmarking Your Files


At times, you may want to quickly find a certain location on a page. Using bookmarks allows you to keep track of a piece of code you need to return to often. This is especially useful as your page grows and the code gets to be longer than you expected. Using bookmarks allows for easy access and fewer headaches.

The panel to the left of your code keeps track of line numbers, and it is also used for displaying bookmarks. Any bookmarks you have created will appear as green books displaying the bookmark's number, such as this one: . You can have up to 10 bookmarks per document.

To set a bookmark, use the keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+[the bookmark number]. So to set Bookmark 5, you would press Shift+Ctrl+5. To locate a bookmark, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+[the bookmark number]. So to find Bookmark 5, simply press Ctrl+5.
